When it comes to vibrant, color-drenched interiors, few do it like Daniella Hoffer Interiors. Based in Springfield, NJ, Daniella’s designs are known for their bold use of color, texture, and pattern. Her latest project in New Rochelle, NY is no exception — and despite the distance, her clients knew she was the one to bring their project to life. From the beginning, this project was all about creativity. The clients requested unique schemes for each room that also flowed seamlessly throughout the house. Tasked with the additional directive of keeping the space bright, airy, and full of color, Daniella and her team focused on transforming the newly purchased residence into an inviting home brimming with personality.Because Daniella’s clients weren’t living in the space during the renovation, they left everything in her hands. By the time the project was done, they were able to experience a full design reveal. Walking through their completed home for the first time, they were greeted with interiors that felt fresh, lively, and uniquely theirs.Stepping inside, a bold, patterned stair runner leading to the second floor immediately catches your eye. A funky, oversized light fixture hangs above the foyer, setting the whimsical tone that flows throughout the project. Every corner bursts with impeccably layered color, pattern, and texture — creating a sense of pure delight.

In the kitchen, the clients knew they wanted to incorporate blue tones. Daniella Hoffer took this request and ran with it, sourcing a striking piece of blue granite for the custom-made kitchen table. To keep things both chic and practical, she upholstered the chairs in leather-look vinyl, ensuring they’d be easy to clean and maintain. Adding a touch of sophistication, Daniella selected contrasting art pieces by Erin Rothstein and finished the look with a light fixture from Hudson Valley Lighting.

Set against crisp white walls, the bold colors in the family room feel fresh without overpowering the space. With four energetic kids and frequent guests to consider, Daniella chose durable fabrics and finishes so family and friends could enjoy the space worry-free. Multicolored fabrics and playful patterns are all part of the lively color scheme that continues throughout the home. Drenched in moody purple and amethyst tones, the dining room morphed into the jewel box of the home. Daniella and her clients collaborated on a custom mural with an ombre effect that shimmers with an iridescent glow. Light pink upholstered dining chairs in a durable and wipeable fabric perfectly complement the wall mural. The 55” wide custom dining table is designed to comfortably fit two chairs at each end so everyone can gather comfortably around the table.

The clients requested a living room that was both formal and relaxed — a spot to unwind, read, and gather with family and friends. Daniella delivered with a Nathan Anthony tight-back sofa, chosen for its sleek silhouette, comfort, and performance fabric. With her signature creative touch, Daniella selected a leopard print fabric by Schumacher to upholster the stools flanking the fireplace. The moody hues of paint and wallpaper tie the entire design together.

In the bedrooms, Daniella personalized each space to reflect the children’s preferences. What made this project uniquely engaging was the client’s desire to involve their children in the design process. To that end, Daniella and her team shared design boards with them, giving them the opportunity to contribute their own ideas. She ensured their personalities shone through by involving them from start to finish. From selecting wallpapers to choosing pillow textures, the kids shared their opinions. They offered input and took ownership of their spaces, and the final result was even more personal and playful. One common feature among the bedrooms was the acrylic ladder shelving. It was such a hit with each of the kids that Daniella incorporated it into each bedroom — perfect for now and as they grow. The desks and nightstands, from Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware, were chosen for their solid construction and versatility. Headboards became an exciting design piece, with bold hues and creative shapes introduced through the upholstery.

Hoffer Interiors proves that distance is no obstacle when it comes to creating a bold and beautiful home. With vibrant colors, thoughtful details, and a sophisticated design tailored to the family’s needs, this New Rochelle project is one that will be admired and enjoyed for years to come. Family, friends, and Urban Living readers alike are sure to appreciate the fun and creativity in this delightfully transformed space.
