In what feels like an endless stretch of winter, we need to bring some sunshine into our lives, since the actual sun doesn't seem to be shining much. Our houses are where we spend most of our time, so it is obvious that these spaces play an integral role in our lives.
Science and studies have proven that the things with which we surround ourselves directly affect our mood, productivity, and general attitude. I know that if I was only surrounded by dim colors, my day would feel as dismal as a rainstorm and that’s coming from someone who enjoys a good thunderstorm. It is especially important during these gloomy days to fill our surroundings with pieces that spark happiness. Because shouldn't every day be filled with joy?Â
The internet coined this idea of decorating with color as Dopamine Decor. There’s no need to go crazy and start wallpapering all of your walls in rainbow colors (unless that's what you like). A touch of fun and pop of color here and there will do the trick.

Collected below are assorted housewares and decor pieces from different corners of the internet to infuse your space with happiness and bring back the liveliness that gets lost in these dreary months.Â
I love unexpected color pairings, and these throw pillows just hit the spot. Pair the muted purple with bright red and sign me up!Â
I am already dreaming of the many things to store in these striking glass jars.
This lamp can be stacked and unstacked to your liking! How novel, a customizable lamp!
Who said a cutting board has to be boring? No one! Cut your vegetables, then display this work of art on your kitchen shelves.Â
Equally perfect for breakfast and to display. I love a multi-purpose product.Â
Another unique throw pillow, but for those not as bold. It’s already in my cart…
These interchangeable vases are as much fun as they are functional. Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
What a nice greeting to come out to after the shower!Â
Candle holders don't have to be neutral; let them be a conversation starter!Â
I believe the extraordinary happens when we bring fun to mundane activities. These toothbrushes achieve just that.Â
Now look how much happier you are! I feel the same!Â
